V-MODA Crossfade M-100 vs. M-100 Master: what's the difference?

Based on what I’ve found online, the M-100 Master improves upon the M-100 in the following ways:

  • Drivers upgraded with a Japanese made CCAW (copper-clad aluminum wire) coil
  • Hi-Res Audio certified
  • Re-tuned as part of joint process with Roland

Are there any other differences? I would be super curious to hear someone’s opinion on how they sound compared to each other.

As a random side note, I was an original M-100 owner as part of the crowdsourcing but they were uncomfortable for long listening sessions so I sold them. This was before they came out with the XL pads which apparently solved that problem for most people. I remember the sound quality being decent but I wasn’t blown away by it. I was mostly impressed with the build quality, they are super hefty and the accessories are really nice.

So anyway, anyone have experience or know of any direct comparisons between these two?
